That said, I don't think under UFC judging criteria Bisping won the fight. That's all. I'm not taking anything away from him by saying that - his striking is great, he was able to get up from the takedowns of a Div-3 championship wrestler, and was able to not get caught too much with any punches that looked to have strength behind him.
Saying you don't think he won based on how you judge a UFC bout based on the UFC judging criteria isn't an insult against him.
I thought Hamill won too, guess that's not in the judges' minds.
BTW this fight stinks, both guy got some work to do. After watching the Rampage/Hendo fight I though I was watching a WEC match early on...
This fight is a bigger robbery than Nog vs Ricco. At least you can make an argument for Nogueira winning.
Off topic here, actually I kinda get over with that Ricco match now, he did just lay and pray while Nog trying subs over and over again. They should add that mindset in the game now that laying on top not = to winning, I don't wanna MMA getting boxing-lized.
I'm also British and was quite annoyed when Bipsing got the decision. We can cheer for whoever we want but in the end no one wants unfair decisions.
I think Hamil won the fight but I'm not going to get annoyed at Bibsing for his post fight speach. I mean it is hard to know how a fight looks when you're in it. For all he knew, he may think he clearly won it.
That being said Hamil definitely came accross as very classy in his post fight speach.
