guy's you'll find more on the Aussie forum or infinitemma.com but.......CFC In Sydney Australia last night saw Hector LOMBARD defend his 185lb title defeating Brian EBERSOLE via TKO in R4. I have worked with hector for a long time & bought Brian here to Australia, however, sadly I missed the fight with my Dad's funeral yesterday after his sudden passing on monday. The other big news was that former UFC Vet. Todd MEDINA arrived here and weighed in to fight Jamie TEHUNA but then did a dissapearing act and no showed!!! TEHUNA was warming up back stage and all :( Jamie is a good talent & was Pride signed (before the UFC purchase) he also trains with Mark HUNT. I am pretty dissapointed he missed his fight as he is a great talent & nice kid.Re Brian Vs Hector - From what I heard (3rd hand) the fight was largely fought on the feet. I believe the stoppage was a verbal one from Brian who may have aggravated a previous injury to his knee. The fight was stopped in R4 of this 25min title fight.Hector prepped for this fight at CSW in Orange County under Erik PAULSON & from all accounts his game is growing every day. I saw his last fight after his first stint with CSW Vs Fabiano CAPOANE (sp??) of BTT who is a good fighter. hector looked far more poised and rather than throwing flurries on the ground he now really works and picks his shots & boy do they have some power! We were hoping to see Hector debut on the SHAMROCK v KIMBO card, however, I'll leave it for EliteXC to announce his next move. he has succesfully obtained a work visa & returns to America to train full time really soon.Anyway...Just wanted to post this for fans/friends of either.CheersJustin
can you guys bump this up please. A few ppl waiting.

I'm still waiting to hear whatsup with MEDINA. Word around is he was a little overwhelmed when he saw Jamie at the weighin - still waiting to see Jamie's weigh in pics.
Jamie is a beast. http://tehuna.proelite.com/ to see him. Word was he was bigger and leaner for this fight!!
I was working on a deal with Patrick when he was at Icon but it didn't pan out :(
Any promoters interested in Jamie, holla at me. He trains with Mark HUNT and is just a super nice kid with a stack of talent & very aggressive exciting fighter. Sux bad that he missed out on fighting last nite but...
He's in shape & ready to go.
Justin
Hi Justin,
Very sorry to hear about your father :(
I was there, reporting on it for another news ite that has yet to post the results, but am happy to fill you in a few of the fights :)
Weigh-in pics here - check out Jamie, no wonder Medina did a disappearing act..lol...:http://cfcworld.com.au/media.php

Elvis's boy Landry won a 3 round war against a hard-as-nails opponent in Leven - I hope his eye is ok as it looked a little worse for wear...who is Gordon Graff?? Gets called in with couple of days notice and fully destroys his fancied Belgium opponent...like FULLY destroys la Torre and left him unconscious for nearly 5 minutes in the cage...Graff punches harder than a lot of the guys going around I've seen, but i highly doubt la Torre will recall even being in Sydney..
I felt really sorry for Jamie and hope to see him fight soon :)
As much as I'd like to share your enthusiasm about Hector, I really can't... just my opinion...
Congrats to Hector~~~>he is a very talented fighter.
Tough loss for Brian...but I'm sure he will rebound.
James Te Huna stopped by the gym here in Thailand. Very talented.
Justin~~~>tell Hector to take you to Phuket for a celebration vacation :)
GRAFF trains with Jamie TEHUNA & Co at Penrith Elite as I understand. I seen him make debut Vs a training partner as a card filler and didn't think a lot. I then seen him fight a few years later & his poise and GnP were definitely impressive.
He was beaten by Brian EBERSOLE but he definately looks to have a bit of power & is a good prospect for my mind.

Our boy Matt"ROLLING BEAR" Cain def his opponent by Kimura in round 1 to earn him a shot at the CFC Welterweight Title. Check out his profile at www.integratedmma.com
Unfortunately our middlweight champ Kyle Noke had to withdraw from the event due to a shoulder injury. I know Kyle is very keen to rehab his shoulder and make a big statement in his next fight before hopefuly being given his rematch with Hector Lombard after fighting to a draw with him in CFC1.

Justin, you think that we'll be able to see video of Lombard/Ebersole soon? I like watching both of them fight.
And sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers.
Well, the previous event just hit TV the day before this fight. Unsure of a TV date etc....
I really believe Luke's product is worthy of a TV deal. Hopefully someone state side might pick it up. I did a LOT of back and forth with a US party trying to make it happen, but it didn't pan out.
Moving forward, hopefully his show will get to a global market. Had of Kyle NOKE fought and won (GRAFF replaced him) we would have seen NOKE v Hector II real soon BUT I think we'll see it soon, maybe 2 shows down the track.
Also I think Brian will move to 170lb as he was on the scales at about 180lb without cutting & eating norm. He has been a lesbian SORRY I mean vegitarian for about a year now & is really better at 170lb, where he will be a handful.
The promoter is a good guy and I really hope his product continues to grow here & get out there internationally too.
