poopstripe - Guys that started training after me but are able to train more consistantly and now ruin me when we roll keep any thought of ego waaaaaaay down deep
yeah your ego is obvious. making excuses for why they are ruining you. "are able to train more consistently" you gotta let the ego go man
Colt Seavers - You know the answer, you just have to be willing to do it.
This is what it's all about. To be able to sit there after rolling and have a 6 month white belt call you out because he thinks he can take you watching you trying out new things and getting owned.
It takes a lot to be stay above it. I have to stop myself from wanting to take him up on it and owning his ass every way on the ground. But I have other priorities, and it's the color purple.
I know a purple belt that still has a super big ego. And to top it off this kid isn't just any purp, he's beating high level browns and blacks every comp. I think this year he even took a win over a ADCC invite. (don't want to mention any names). I, myself, am a brown and have given up on trying to explain things to him. What do u higher belts suggest I do?

Sounds like he is doing just fine. To be honest, if I were you, I'd be trying to figure out if there was something he knows that I don't.
