Lost last night

I had a tough loss last night. All mental mistakes, same as all my losses. It seems the only person beating me is me. Question for the UG what do these top guys do to stay mentally strong like gsp going to a sports physiologist. Any sites that offer help for this? Thanks UG stay classy! Phone Post

Do you do any visualization rituals before your fights? Do you visualize your gameplan in effect and yourself getting your hand raised? Phone Post

I just try to relax but I go out and nerves get the best of me and make mental mistakes. Phone Post

I ask because visuization helps me a lot, like doing my walkout a few times before my actual walkout. Type in on the search field for threads " tips for fighters or competitors" Phone Post

Thanks... Just is tough for me to put my gym performance into the cage! Phone Post

I'm a hypnotist and have had excellent results with clients in terms of sports performance.

I'm biased but I believe it is the most efficient way to manage nerves, it allows fast communication with the sub conscious and can resolve life long phobias in sometimes only one session. (I only took it up because my fear of flying I had held for a decade was cured in an hour)

Look up if there are any in your area and give it a try

This is a good post, and is what separates you from a lot of fighters out there, the willingness to bare yourself and ask for help and advice. That attitude is going to be worth a few wins in your future, best of luck

While I have never competed in MMA, I have competed in several other sorts at regional and provincial levels (Canada).

In my experience, your nerves come from other deep rooted personal issues. Once you get those in check and can separate it from your athletics, things will come easily and fluid.

The confidence you will bring will come from dealing with your other self esteem issues.

Good luck bro. Phone Post

ive never fought but i would say dont fight if you think you can lose. always be confident...

This is interesting because I've been going through a rough patch in my life. I have two girls. And money is a big issue right now. It seems I put too much worry on getting paid instead of performing! Phone Post

I would suggest hypnosis as well, then move on to meditation. I guarantee results.

There is nothing more poisonous to your body then stress.

Take some time to come to Grips with things and the rest will come.

Just have fun with it and you will perform amazing. Phone Post

You record proves you will recover!!!

Good luck!

Again, take a hard look at yourself before going to a therapist or hypnotist.
