At Legacy FC on Axis TV tonight. Pretty cool! Fought a young dude who only had a couple days notice. Took a push kick, caught the second and got the takedown. Followed with what you'd expect, win by RNC. Cool to see, had Xande in his corner too! Just thought I'd share.
I really love his grappling. Glad to see him succeeding.
still praying UFC signs him to fight punk

Not only does he look good out there but he looks like a monster. I'm sure not many people want to step in the ring with him.
Why is the editing still so bad on this site?
That was some weird positioning. The opponent did weird things

I think this fight is a great MMA fight for new and experienced students to watch to observe how pressure and control is essential to maintaining position. You can see how the striker is using very odd, unorthodox "crazy" movement to escape from the mount and back control. I believe you have to be especially ready as an MMA Grappler / Street Self Defense for both orthodox AND unorthodox escapes. If you have been training at an academy for a long time it is easy to forget how unorthodox guys can react especially when all your training partners are technically sound and do all the right things.
Oftentimes when you mount an inexperiened grappler they are like a bull that is trying to throw you off in any way that they can and you must constantly adjust.
Its too bad major tournaments do not reward sweeps or reversals that are not from guard. I think that aspect is very relevant for fighting both in MMA and in the Street. It would definitely reinforce fight ready Jiu Jitsu.
