I will definitely be purchasing the 2008 Pan Ams DVD. It will be worth it for the Lovato match and obviously to see Kron's domination.
The guy he beat in the finals submitted me by flying triangle 2 months after I got my purple. The fact that he only lost by points makes me feel better. Lovato is a beast and I hope to train with him one day.

As great as that match was, the womens absolute between Luka Dias and Michelle Nicollini was almost as good. Both were fantastic displays and very exciting.

I kept looking back & forth between the Cobrina match and that match
and it looked CRAZY. It also looked like there was some controversey at
the end.

That match was the semifinal match. That one was also crazy. That brown belt was the biggest woman I have ever seen.
I heard she got DQ'd for stalling or something to that effect. She was beating Luka 3-2 when the match stopped and she was suddenly DQ'd she argued for like 10 minutes about it afterwards.
The match I was talking about was after all the Men's fights. It was a back and forth battle the whole time. Luka had some deep loop chokes and both were constantly switching points. Luka went up with a sweep to 8-7 I believe with 30 seconds left and just had to hold on. With 5 seconds to go, Michelle swept her over with a nice spider guard sweep. As Michelle started to come on top, Luka used a hook and her momentum to throw michelle back over her body and come back up. Michelle only got an advantage and Luka won.
So many of the fights in the finals were nail-biters... It was a great tournament.
