How to train the next generation of Castillo and Corrales!
Whoa! That's interesting.
When I boxed we just tied their lead legs together. Same thing?

That is cool, love learning new drills. Drill work makes the skill work.

IMO, useful for boxing, but not for MMA (or "self defense")

LOVE it!
notsobigmike -My feelings as well, definitely has it's place in MMA. Of course not all striking exchanges will take place in this range, but the same goes for boxing. It's a good close range/clinch striking drill.buddie -Sprawl'n'Stall - IMO, useful for boxing, but not for MMA (or "self defense")
I completely disagree. So many guys passively let themselves be clinched in MMA or even kick boxing, when they could be banging inside. This drill could easily be compined with a dirty boxing clinch very effectively.
That's what I was thinking. It seems like this could translate very well to cage work.
Very useful for self defense/MMA/boxing. Most people SHY away from striking. This forces people to get use to it. They can go light/medium/hard. Very similar to tying a cord to boxers waist to teach infighting.
