Gaethje just beat Palomino and is fighting Foster next.
Aoki just beat Ando.
Barnaou just beat Divnich and is fighting Buchinger next.

When you look at the skills and abilities of the "minor league" champs and challengers you have to be impressed. Challengers like Held and Buchinger are real killers.

Other shows like Titan have Healy (until yesterday) and killer challengers like Hawn.

There are lightweight champs in events like Road, Legacy, Jungle Fight, Deep and Shooto that are tough.

Go look at the top 100, 200, even 300 fighters at lightweight at fightmatrix. No other weight class has this type of depth and talent as lightweight.

Even to win one of the six or eight eight biggest minor league belts is an accomplishment. With challengers like Held and champions like Gaethje in the minor leagues, you can see why even breaking into fightmatrix's top 100 is no small feat for a lightweight.

The 2015 lightweight division is the deepest division in the history of MMA and it is not even close.

Mr. MacMansion just talked shit on the division because he is planning on going up there for all his future paydays whether he wins or losses to Aldo. The guy is tired of cutting so much damn weight and now that he has made a few million he is asking himself... "why am I cutting all this fucking weight if I can keep making big money without killing myself like this"?
