Anybody?
Wanted to see this fight. Sakurai could really showcase himself against Diego.
Diego vs. penn is a cool fight.
penn will win and hopefully they'll set him up with Sakurai.
i was so hyped to hear about him coming to the ufc
yeah penn vs diego is sweet for sure. i was just very excited to see mach in the ufc and disappointed to hear that he's leaving. ;)
^^^LOL Nice troll job idiot.
If you're surprised that this isn't happening, you obviously know where the rumor came from and that it was credible. Please enlighten me.
what do you mean, sebu?
Nevermind, it was just an annoying remark about not taking rumors too seriously :)
I don't know, given the decision to not unify the belts, I'd say chances are Mach will still be a Pride fighter. For a while it appeared Pride would not be resurrected, but it appears that decision has been reversed. The fact is, Mach has more mass appeal in Japan than he does in the United States so I think it would be foolish Zuffa/PWW to move him to the UFC.
Perhaps one has nothing to do with the other, but from a business standpoint, I think it makes sense for Mach to remain a Pride fighter.
That said, I think it made more sense for Nog to remain in Japan, but all indications are that deal was sealed before the buyout.
What happened is that the Sakurai thing was mentioned in one single Albuquerque newspaper and that's it. No one ever heard a word of it from Diego, Sakurai, Greg Jackson, Zuffa, or anybody else.
Kind of like that 20 page thread on how Nog's first fight in the UFC was going to be against that 50-year old dude.
"Sakurai would get mauled by Diego...that is what happened."
uh...
Sakurai's scared of roid testing in the US. j/k
lol - riiiiiiight
Sorry but look at what Gomi did to Nate before he gassed. Now imagine a bigger, stronger, equally good striker and abu dhabi level grappler in Sakurai and what he'd do to Nate.
Fight should happen so we can see Sakurai stomp on Diaz.
End of Thread.
