I agree. He won rounds based on playing tag with his feet in rounds 1 and 2. Lyoto landed on real strike the entire fight, maybe 2.

I like the PRIDE tactic of bringing back guys who may lose but show up to fight. Machida is winning, but in the worst kind of way.

As I've stated on a few other threads, his safe, low risk style will only hurt him at the end of the day. It's why guys like Phil Baroni are still getting big matches, even with less than stellar records. it's also why guys like Kimbo Slice are getting such big pushes, and why it'll be a long time before you see Kimbo fight anyone other than a can.

He may have only hit Tito a couple times "for real".. but one of them cut, swelled, and bruised Tito's face in multiple places, and another dropped Tito on his back.
Tito unfortunately also got some kind of hamstring injury, obvious from the leg welt/discoloration.. and was unlucky to have slipped accidentaly every time he tried to take Lyoto down.
Maybe the problem isn't Lyoto, maybe Soko, Tito, Franklin, Bonnar, and BJ penn (Giving up 30lbs), are not quality opponents.
The point is that his stuff is working, he is undefeated and winning against different types of opponents so far. From a sportive point of view, he is a very good MMA fighter if you look at it. From a spectacle point of view I can agree with some of your arguments, but as a sport no.
Plus, it's truly up to the other fighters to find a way to beat him trough this style, and so far people have failed on doing that. Maybe they should just wait as well, forcing him to engage. Which would create a SUPER BORING fight, but would maybe force him to change and get exposed, or lose a boring judges' decision.

Soku fight was a snorefest, except for the knockdown and subsequent sub. I love how 1 exciting min out of 15 makes the entire fight a must see. Get real.
