Machida says he has 4 years left of fighting

hmmmm, with the amount of damage he takes he could probably fight a big longer to be honest. I say with this drop to middleweight, he makes a run for the title if andy loses to weidman again. If not, then I hope the UFC forces him to fight Andy, but that wont ever happen. So hes in a bad spot because he cant beat jones (just my opinion) and his friend could become the champ again at middleweight.

I hope he does stay longer, but not to the point of him get hurt in the long run. Phone Post 3.0

he at least has two. He never takes damage so he could stick around for 4 and not come out all brain dead.

I can see that. Lyoto is pretty old by MMA standards but rarely takes damage. I'm glad, I enjoy his fights for the most part.

Doable, he's older, but his body is in way better shape then some guys 8-10 years younger than him that take a beating in a fight. Phone Post 3.0

Are you forgetting about training? Machida isn't young, and I can only imagine how grueling training, and weight cutting, can become Phone Post

doubt he cuts much weight at all to make 205, I remember reading he didn't have to cut any weight for the bader fight Phone Post

I remember him coming it at 202 for the first Shogun fight, Lyoto has never really had that much of a burden making LHW, MW should be a cakewalk for him.

my first thought was two years, but if he keeps ot taking damage then 2-4 years sounds about right, unless he gets smashed by someone.
