Not to start shit, as i know there was some crap talked back in the day when they briefly had some Malware around, but Google chrome now warns me on almost every single Sherdog page taht there is probably malware there:
"The website at www.sherdog.com contains elements from the site cdn1.eyewonder.com, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer."
They may not even know about it, as websites often sell adspace to ad companies like ad-sense, who then choose what ads come up, but someone needs to get on this.
I have only been to the Sherdog forum a couple times and I never got any viruses, BUT everyone here says its flooded with spyware, adware bullshit. I only go over there for the fight finder (i like it better) thats it. Maybe I got lucky?
i've actually never had any warnings before (aside from that incident years and years ago). This just started like 1-2 days ago. I somehow doubt that an ESPN affiliate would knowingly put malware on their site but who knows.
that's why they call it 'Spywaredog'...
not as funny as 'Sherslob' though.
I've gone there for years and years and haven't had any problems that I know came from there. But people say it's happened.

The same complaints about the site since at least 06. I doubt the Sherdog folks aren't aware of the problem.
I remember the shit back i 06, but that seemed to last a short while and then i never had problems again, but if they know about it that's too bad. Seems weird that a high profile site like theirs would have to resolve to tactics like these to increase their revenue.

There's a browser safer than Firefox...
...it is Firefox, with NoScript!
The NoScript Firefox extension provides extra protection for Firefox, Flock, Seamonkey and other mozilla-based browsers: this free, open source add-on allows JavaScript, Java and Flash and other plugins to be executed only
No Script is clutch. Between noscript and adblock plus I have almost 0 ads, and 0 spyware/keylogger problems. Not that it makes you invincible, but if you are smart with it, its a fantastic tool.
There are a few MMA sites out there that host malware. There was a recent thread with a list.
Get a Mac and the problem will be solved. No worries, no viruses, no Malware!

mega lulz
No need to get a mac and flush your cash down the drain, just use Opera or Firefox. I only use those browsers and I've never caught anything from STDdog.

So says douches that will hit every porn site on the net to beat off and not worry about spyware. But oh God, my third rate free spyware program says there's spyware and malware on Sherdog!

oh? you mad, bro?
Sherdog always denies that he has any spyware but I just went there for the first time in years to reset an old password. Sure enough my Avast anti-virus software just gave me a malware warning.
Unbelievable.
Jeff Sherwood is like super fat too, the fucker.

hey hey now, there's no sense suggesting the members here dumb down their computer experience.
Damnitt! I just checked Sherdog again and this warning came up.
