opera ftw.
fastest, most innovative browser there is and nobody uses it (or writes malicious code for it).
did you know opera was the first browser...
with tabs?
integrated search?
pop up blocking?
speed dial?
caching pages in ram instead of disk?
zoom?
user CSS (adblock for FF is a prepackaged version of this)?
"clear browsing data" option?
widgets?
user/browser level javascript?
and many more. yes, opera did all that shit first, and everyone else copied it. things we take for granted in browsers these days were innovated by opera, and they are still innovating today. its like some big secret or something...I'll never understand why more people don't use it.
Seriously, no one cares what browsers you use, what addons you use, what kind of antispyware software you use.
This thread is about this site spreading malware/spyware.
As a paying costumer I expect a clean site with no viruses and spywares.

I think you have a skewed perspective - there are plenty of free tools out there to protect yourself with, and instead of using them you want Kirik to babysit you?
On ANY forums where people can embed HTML you can have these kinds of issues, not to mention ad networks which are notoriously hard to police.
If there is malware it's likely coming through the adservers. Keep your OS, Browser, anti-virus, and anti-malware up to date and you shouldn't have any major problems.
Posts such as "Fix your Sh!t", "This is F$cked up", etc. aren't helpful at all. Post specific errors, screen shots even. Useful information that will contribute to the clean up.
Respected forum, yes.
Respectable forum? Ha!
I knew I over paid for this MAC for a reason. The porn box never breaks anymore!
This shit happens, lots of a-holes out there making this stuff.
not having any problems on my end
My mouse would start spinning periodically last night, but not now.

Easy for a non-paying member to say.
(I didn't pay either, mine was a gift)
disturbing if true.
I got the fake scanner too. And some weird stuff starts playing in the background as well, maybe it's that pizza commercial someone mentioned earlier..
i stand corrected.... just got the redirect.

I use a MacBook with Firefox v3.5.6
When I am browsing this website for the past couple of days my browser suddenly jumps to:
^^^Probably not a good idea to visit that link, but it's some computer ad or some shit.
What can I download for free to clean up my MacBook and prevent this from happening in the future? Thanks for any help.

Firefox + adblock has me spoiled. I have to be careful recommending sites to friends because it may have bad stuff on it that I never see. If I'm on a friend's computer and they have IE, I politely ask if they would mind if I download a real browser for them. Then they are amazed at the difference. Occasionally, even with these precautions I'll get a page with a fake scanner. I don't click anything, and go to task manager to end process. The tabs won't reopen to where they were, but oh well.
Opera is ok, and a lot less resource hungry than FF. It can be set up to be pretty secure, but it's not nearly as easy as with FF.
Is there anything being done about this? I got a 'fraudulent website' warning page from my anti-virus for this site.
This has happened on this site before.
It is from somebody who advertises on this site.
Kirik fixed it last time as soon as he was made aware of the problem.
TTT to let Kirik know.
Is it possible that mma.tv is infected and not my MacBook and that is what is causing my page to be rediredted?
I cannot find any literature about confirmed infections on Macs, which is why I ask.
