Geez Marcelo swept him at will.
Lovato had some nice moments too, passed right into mount. Marcelo bucked real hard right, then left, right and left againt get his knee back in to get out of that mount.
Nice roll and they respected each other enough to really get at it.
Synado - Well right off the bat RLJ guillotines Marcello against a wall. Then they have a fairly intense sparring session.
Dont forget about those knees Marcelo landed from the Thai clinch. Lovato's spinning back fist totally caught Marcelo (and me) by surpise. Makes you miss the days of bare knuckle Vale Tudo style ya know?

Did you see both videos? There were two rolls. Sitting guard and hook sweeping right into side mount looked awfully easy. Lovato, like everybody else in the world could do nothing from Marcelo's X guard. Marcelo literally picked him up in the air and put him on his back in each roll. It looked like Marcelo could sweep anytime he wanted, just my opinion.
One cool sweep Lovato hit was with Marcelo standing over his guard and he tried that one where you wrap your legs around both of your opponents knees and balloon him over. It wasn't hit perfectly but did the job and put Marcelo on his back.
I'm not a major nerd about stuff like this so I probably wont go back and look at it again until I get a chance in a few days. Were you watching and counting points? lol
How was Lavatos passing game? His system usually works nice but being that Marcelo isn't easily flattened out I was curious how it would go

From the start he crossed Marcelo's legs and had the knee through and ended up mounted for a few seconds.

MG did this baseball slide, hook sweep that was incredible. Someone has to Gif that thing. It was beautiful.
Lots of technical grip fighting by both guys. Wow, just wow!
Lovato working some Berimbolo and DLR, which was nullified pretty well by MG.
The top pressure from Lovato looked pretty intense, glad I'm not on the bottom of that dude.
Lovato also used the Single Leg X to sweep MG.
MG used some deep half guard.

Yup, I thought so it was a troll too- c'mon hitting Marcelo with his own moves?
But. it did actually happen (there are 2 vids of their rolls- in the second vid).
MG was pinned against the wall, and Lovato was on top of him in a guillotine. MG tapped after a couple of seconds.
That's one of the beauties of watching him train. He will tap, and then keeps on training- doesn't make a fuss, doesn't make excuses, etc.
And then, he will post it on the internet for everyone to see.
