Saw this guy fight on the 19th in Miami at the Revolution Fighting Championships, this guy is the real deal... Here is the write up from the fight from the web site lol. "Ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneer Marcus Jones is now back on his winning ways after mounting, pounding, and leaving opponent Mike Ottman unconscious for several minutes, only to be transported to the hospital via stretcher. Fortunately it was not a serious injury, because that’s a lot of fist to be taking on the grill."
Zuffa, sign this guy!!
Anybody know about this guy before??
Am i the only peron that had seen this guy fight lol?? He Has the size and skill set to give most HW a run no doubt!!
Marcus is a phenomenal athlete and a great guy. He trains at Gracie Tampa. Great attitude. Amazing strength - even for his size. Solid ground game. Powerful standup and an increasingly sophisticated striking game as well. Much more exciting than many in the HW class. Definitely one to watch IMO.
I am very proud to say that I have sponsored Marcus from the very start and have been telling people about him for years. For a #1 NFL draft pick to be as down to earth as he always has been is amazing.
Marcus will do great things in the sport
ttt
He is scary
Is there video of him anywhere?
Is he still fighting? After the KO in March, I hadn't heard a peep about him..
I had heard Rob Kahn on Bubba the Love Sponge talk about what a freak the guy was, and how he thought that after some more fights, he'd take him over Fedor...
He's got physical tools, that's for sure..
Max
Slappy, he just fought.
Was that a trick question?
He's a big tough guy with a cool nickname (The Darkness) but he got brutally KO'd earlier this year by a nobody and he still pretty much just started MMA. Let the guy have some more fights first before throwing him to the wolves in the big show.
^^^ Agreed
ttt
pic of him??
Is this the same Marcus Jones who was nicknamed "shade tree" in college because of his insane reach?
i remember him from his days at UNC, he was a beast there... i think he was on the those real good mack brown teams before he left for Texas.... he has to be in his mid 30's by now...too bad he got a late start on the game...
TTT For Darkness!!
