Macaco, Landi defeated in Brazil
Margarida debuts with surprising win

To Fernando Margarida, the first time is already unforgettable. Premiering in mixed martial arts against the experienced Jorge "Macaco" Patino, the 2001 world Jiu-Jitsu champion was able to control the action throughout most of the bout held yesterday at Show Fight 5, in Sao Paulo. When the time ran out, Margarida was declared winner by unanimous decision.

In another much awaited fight, Eduardo Pamplona – who recently beat Macaco also – did better than José "Pelé" Landi, attaining a unanimous victory as well.
