But for those who following boxing at all, a couple days ago Juan Marquez stated "Regarding the 5th fight with Pacquiao, I am not interested in doing it. There is no point. The objective was achieved and everything that was outstanding is now finished. The most important thing is that everything concluded in a positive manner for me. I don't believe the fans are interested in seeing a 5th fight".
Marquez also goes on to state that he believes he earned his 4th fight with Pacquiao, and that Pacquiao did not want to give him a rematch until he wanted a clear cut victory as he did.
there's nothing in it for marquez other than another $20+ million payday. if he goes in there and loses, people will forget pretty quickly about the signature knockout of his career. good for him. he's getting up there in age, to me he has nothing left to prove as a boxer.
i would watch pacman vs marquez 25 dont get me wrong, but marquez has nothing to gain but money.

Pacman fans will argue he was winning every round until the KO. I always tell them in return however even if the knockout was only a knockdown, Marquez even'd the fight on points with it. Tough to call on a fifth fight, but I wouldn't say everyone is opposed to it as Marquez offers.

Floyd's gonna fight Canelo in September, assuming Canelo wins on the undercard of the Mayweather/Guerrero card (maybe against Austin Trout?). Not crazy about that fight as I think Canelo is overrated, but I'd still rather see it than Floyd/JMM II. Floyd would destroy him once again.

I do believe Floyd takes the fight if he rematches Marquez. But I also believe that Marquez has atleast earned it before he retires for good.
JMM should retire on top. I think Floyd would style on him again and another Pac fight would not benefit his legacy much more (although $20M+ is always nice).
Gotta think the money would be the only reason Marquez would take it at this point. Retire on a good set of savings and if they did they fight out of the US he and Pacquiao are taking home ALOT.
