Not sure COVID tests are blood tests. The antibody test is, but the actual test for the disease has always been a sinus swab. I feel terrible for Burns, but would love to see Masvidal get a shot.
Seems like a sure loss for Masvidal without a proper camp.

Two title fights already and short notice I'm not sure the UFC would rush a big fight like this.

None of the tests are direct tests for a virus or disease.
The sinus swab is the PCR test right? PCR test creator Kary Mullis apparently said his test shouldn’t be used for disease diagnosis.
(Side note: Dr. Mullis, who won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for creating the PCR test, also said HIV doesn’t cause AIDS 
Also, it tests for RNA sequences supposedly related to the virus, not the virus itself. And that itself is in dispute, as the virus has never been purified.
If mas is in shape.. I’m sure he’s ready to go.

Mas is willing to take the loss as long as he gets paid to save the main event. He's here for the money and knows this is going to be a bad one for him. Good luck landing another flying knee.

Aye, just trying to play over how that fight would go. Mas is great at stuffing takedowns and happy to put his back to the fence to do so, but Usman's fights with Woodley and Cov he was happy to back them up and lean on them in the clinch against the fence, and work from there. I don't really remember Usman trying to finish a takedown much.
Regardless, Mas deserves a title shot as much as anyone at WW. I see no reason to run back the Diaz fight.

No he killed Diaz, but beating Diaz is in no way indicitave of how he would do against Usman.
Yes he’s deserving of a title shot, and at the end of the day he’s a big draw, and is coming off a string of wins. Big draws are worthy of title fights.
Again though…if he’s in shape or not is going to be a factor. Usmans on that EPO train.

Agree re Diaz and Usman being a way different fight.
Like you say at the end of the day this is fighting and it’s often the biggest draw that gets the fight, whether they deserve it or not. Sorry Leon Edwards!
