I have yet to find a topic I don’t agree with him on.
Dude is very educated on combat sports and knows what’s up with Lebron vs Jordan talks.
He’s probably my favorite sportscaster.
I can’t find video of it but in the lead up of the Wilder/Fury rematch, Kellerman acknowledges that the baddest man in the world is the UFC Hw Champion, but said this match(Fury/Wilder) FEELS like it’s for the baddest man in the world(and it did).
“I would say getting back to the ‘Baddest Man On The Planet’ stuff, some things have changed since Tyson’s heyday. Number one, Deontay [Wilder] didn’t come on the scene like a phenom the way Joe Louis or Mike Tyson did. Number two, the rise of the UFC and MMA means that the heavyweight champion, even when he’s an explosive knockout artist, is no longer the baddest man on the planet, because in an actual fight, he’d lose to whoever is the best mixed martial artist because it’s a closer approximation of a real fight.”
Some of you younger fans might not know the context, but for YEARS, there was a huge debate on boxing vs mma.
Just about everyone involved in boxing, said boxing was superior, and the same went for mma(saying mma was superior). Max was one of the first boxing experts to "come around" and realize how mma fighters have way more tools to win in a fight.
I can't help but wonder, did Max every roll with someone to gain this perspetive? He doesn't have to as I came to the same perspective as he did before I started training, but I feel he knows people and has the resources to have trained with someone legit and probably learned first hand how dangerous mma fighters are from many aspects.
The fact Max has this opinion, being a boxing guy, to me only makes his opinions on other aspects more credible. There's no bias. And that doesn't mean that Max or mma fans like me cannot enjoy boxing. Boxing is special in it's own right and right now boxing is the most exciting it's been in 30 years.

you clearly don’t watch much boxing ha
at least you appreciate boxing an mma, an not trying to make it a contest, I love listening to max, I don’t care about hit politics or thoughts on BLM. When it comes to boxing max knows his shit
Those were all great experiences, but my personal favorite moment was when I was in boxing and was sparring and I barely slipped a punch and landed a counter. That shit was so difficult to learn and took hours of and sparring rounds(and getting punched in the face a lot) before I finally "got it". I appreciated slipping and countering more than the first 3 things I mentioned.
Heard him say Aaron Rodgers is better than Russell Wilson the past 5 seasons the other day lol
l expected better
I haven't heard him speak on football very much and I haven't been a fan of football like I used to so I don't know how out of touch or spot on that comment is.
I have a feeling if I heard many of his opinions of football I'd probably find something to disagree with.
Same for politics. I don't know his stance on politics and haven't heard him speak on it, but I think boxing/mma is his forte and his points on why he has Jordan over Lebron are spot on as well.
