I found this video clip of a Tool concert. They were peforming "Pushit" and some dude walks onto the stage and Maynard RNCs him while continuing to sing.

totally set up, if a fan really jumped the stage to attack him his band wouldnt just keep playing the song like nothing was going on
It wasn't set up...I remember Maynard telling me about the episode. Guy who ran up on stage didn't know what was going on.

don't think it's set up. If you look, the guy obviously isn't attacking Maynard, he's going up to hug him. Maynard puts his arms out, pretending to go for the hug and goes for the hip toss instead.
I think he was trying to send the message to bugger off when we're on stage.

That was a nice hip toss...have not seen this before....Maynard needs to work that RNC deeper though, that guy was awake WAY too long....LOL.... wonder if I can offer him lessons???

It is an awesome clip but it is also a set up. Maynard had a friend jump on stage so he could pull of the "stunt". It was proven a set up when a couple of guys were following the band from venue to venue and it happened three nights in a row.
