by the way..JeffersonDarcy, I just wanted to say i value you and I's friendship on the Undergound. You have always been very fair and cool with me, especially during dark moments of my life and career. I always really wanted to thank you for that.

One thing that probably dissuades people from contributing to a charitable effort is fear of being scammed.
That said, knowing or knowing OF someone like Justin who is fighting the good fight can go a long way towards alleviating this fear. If he says "sending money to such and such charity makes a difference because I have witnessed its effects," that can alleviate fears.
I have three charities and two churches that I contribute to. One is St Jude's, which was a no-brainer. One is a prison ministry that I was involved with, so I know they are doing good work. The last one is a Christian missionary group in India who my brother was involved with as a missionary.
I would have been hesitant about the last two had I not had either inside info or participation.
That's where I think Justin can be effective in telling people how they can help, and thus getting the disposable income crowd motivated.
In the skid row sections of Las Vegas it's not an uncommon sight to see Floyd pull up by himself and give out wads of cash to homeless people. There are several shelters down there that their operating budget is supplied by Floyd. Ton of single mothers in Vegas and back in Michigan that get their bills paid and down payments on houses. If you want to pick a guy that doesn't give back Floyd is not your target. Andre Agassi works tireless for Vegas and Floyd gives his organization tons of cash. Bryce Harper grew up in Vegas and most likely cant point the skid row section out on a map

Floyd always gives back, yea not likely to others around the world...but he does help the less fortunate here in the US...
I don't agree with what he does with his money, but like it was mentioned, it's his right to do whatever he wants...and he isn't the only one doing this lol...
While this is true, he had the right to do whatever the fuck he wants with that money so, this argument is a moot point. Do I think 50k could have been used a lot better elsewhere? Uhh, yea but I'm not going to start saying what he should or shouldn't do with HIS money.
Many people would say spending 50k on a car is dumb as well.
Well I understand the sentiment that if some of these guys would throw a portion of the money that they spend on strippers hookers, random skanks, jewelry and entourages towards the less fortunate it would help the world. Could Floyd do more? Sure, but he does give. I remember at one point in his career ice cube refused to do anything for charity, no benefit concerts, fund raisers. Had a horrible rep as a bastard. He's older now so he might have changed. But there are a ton of guys out there like that
Jason, I went to vote you up for this thread and accidentally clicked vote down instead! haha...I'll stop in for the next 3 days and vote you up to make up for it! :)
The stripped with the blue hair in the pic I hit back in high school for a whole summer.

An American helping fellow Americans like a true American patriot!
Mayweather has his heart and priorities in the right place!
Wtf are you blabbering about. Helping people is a good thing period. Helping poor pygmies in Africa might even be more admirable because its fucking harder to do and those people are generally even more miserable then people at skid row.
That being said, Mayweather does give a lot of money to charity and that is generally a good thing. His problem is that he advertises himself as spending all his money on fucking strippers, gambling and champagne. Mayweather has an image problem and is generally an very obnoxious guy but he is one of the best fighters around and he is a charitable person.
But please fuck off with the ''helping a fellow American and having his priorities in the right place'' comments. Its easy for people to help other people where their is comparable a lot of wealth. The might have fucking things up dividing the wealth in the States (blame we will never raise taxes party for that) but its still a fucking wealthy country per head compared to almost ever place in Africa.

Mayweather is a great fucking dude. I had the honor of meeting him in Baltimore a few years back, spent 15 minutes chatting with him, and it became apparent very quickly that he very much knows how to play the public to make maximum dollars. "Money" Mayweather is an entertainment figure, and nothing more.
Also, him spending 50g's at the strip club does go to help out the less fortunate, namely single mothers, does it not?
I like floyd Mayweather and i'm sure he helps out the less fortunate.
Any homeless person in America has more opportunity than most Pygmies to make a life for themselves and not be enslaved.
It's not an either/or though. Help people here and help people there as well. For example, the porn industry is a multi-BILLIOIN dollar industry (not including strip clubs!). There's MORE than enough money to go around...most would just rather spend it on selfish pursuits of lust and objectification and close their eyes/ears to the needs surrounding them.
ElChupacabra1982 - I'd rather give my money to that old homeless war vet sitting on the street corner the the pygmy people in Africa any day of the week!
Africa is a shit hole... There is no doubt about it but I don't want to see my country end up like Africa and by the looks of it, we are heading in that direction in record breaking speeds...
I got a little bit teary eyed reading about the things Mayweather has done... Paying for Joe Frazier's funeral, helping the homeless, paying medical bills of dying children, opening up soup kitchens, this is right here in America... These are your fucking neighbors! And you guys want to send all your money to Africa... GTFO!
No shit, there are plenty of people here in the U.S. that can't afford medicine, healthcare and a proper diet and many of them are children and the elderly.
