Mayweather-Canelo PPV set at $75

BoxingScene.com reports that the PPV price point for the Floyd Maywether Jr. v. Canelo Alvarez fight set for September 14, 2013 will be set at $75 for HD and $60 for SD. This is a $5 price increase from Maywether’s May fight against Roberto Guerrero.

Only mayweather can get us to buy ppv for this price. I wouldn't even think about paying it if it was someone else. I don't cwre if it was GGG . But its just like gsp in canada. He could probably sellout the roger center just by sitting down reading the paper and having a glass of wine.

That's just a shocking amount to pay for really only one fight. For most fans the Floyd and Canelo are the only fight they're interested in, not to mention Floyd has a very defensive style that makes his fights a bit predictable and leaving something to be desired. I would pay that price much faster for a UFC card then a boxing card simply because the cards are more stacked and there's more action and fighters you care about. 75 though is just a lot, I still pay 45 or whatever for standard definition to save on PPVs. You know what you get with a Floyd fight and it certainly isn't worth $75 to me.
