Floyd needs to fight Paul Williams in July, and the winner of Cotto/Margarito in December. At that point, he can retire with nothing left to prove.
still wont stop the fact that
u guys will hate him no matter wut
After knocking out Ricky Hatton, I think he already can retire with nothing left to prove.
I would love to see him move up and fight Pavlik or even Calzaghe.
I'd like to see him fight Cotto.
I dont really think PBF can make any claims about how great he is until he has won the heavyweight title.
It may not be reaility, but I get the feeling boxers are looking forward to their last fight as opposed to MMA fighters who look forward to their next fight...
no your delusional
"LOL, great idea, move up 3 weightclasses in one jump and fight the longest reigning, undefeated champion in the game. You should be Floyds manager."
You want to be coined as "the greatest" then gaining 17 lbs. (or hopefully a catch weight can be agreed upon) to fight "the longest reigning, undefeated champion in the game" should be a must.
good one armbar.
Mayweather gets all the respect in the world from me. They line them up and he knocks them down.
he has always been in a higher weight class than pacquiao. he never dodged him and would have whipped his ass if they ever fought.
He should beat cotto then retire but cotto wants delahoya
If he retires without taking on the winner of Cotto/Margarito (particularly if it is Cotto) and Williams, then people will always point out that he never fought his obvious two top contenders when he was welterweight champion. If he beats them, then he would clearly have nothing left to prove as a welterweight. Right now, he clearly does.
Cotto wants DLH because Oscar brings the prestige, limelight and most important the $$$$$$.
DLH is still the #1 draw in boxing. He is Money
HB he would NEVER fight Williams (at this point). No way. That guy is a tough style for minimal purse compared to risk.
lol
Someone get a pic of him hugging the ref for 30 seconds after the fight.
Yes, I'm bitter.
Yes, Floyd blew Hatton's head off with a left hook while backpedaling...
But I'm glad he showed his appreciation to all the help the ref gave him.
^^ Help...more like help the ref gave Hatton...PBF won the in-fighting, Hatton could barely hit him, he even admitted that in the post fight interview. Hatton made it a brawl and lost at his own game. PBF set him up for the left hook, he wasnt back peddling when he threw it, he stepped left and threw it. And, he and the ref were taking pictures.....Hatton has one fighting style which overwhelms most opponents, unfortunately for him, PBF can fight many ways. Here kai, Teddy Atlas has some info for you:

He is great.. I would pay to see them fight again.. I think Ricky could give more next time, I think he will become a much better fighter for this loss, just like every great, a loss from time to time makes you better. Ask Randy.
PBF needs to fight Cotto, after that he should retire.
I cannot stand PBF.
I dislike his boxing style and really hate his angle for self marketing.
With that said, he is the best active boxer and is in contention for best ever.
He could retire now and leave nothing left to prove.
I hope if he retires, he stays retired. Coming back later will just risk ruining all the accomplishments hes made.
