Sound foolish. You don’t know you own fighter well enough. Khabib will drag Conor to the ground like a child. Al has a wrestling base. Conor is not getting back to his feet the way Al had some success doing. And he definitely is not shaking off takedowns like Al did later in the fight. Don’t forget Conor has 2 rounds of gas. How much gas is he going to have after laying in Khabib for 2 full rounds?
Tony And Max would be much more suited to Yost Khabib. They are cardio machines. If they can take Khabib late into the fight and then get some time on the feet they can find opportunities to be successful. Conor does not have the cardio to do it. Conor’s chances are the same as they have always been. He has to catch him early.
I just feel it’s premature to talk about them fighting, because Khabib is now out for Ramadan and Conor is dealing with legal problems and doesn’t have a deal for another fight in place.
I’d rather see how things play out and see if they even get scheduled to fight before discussing the fight.
I honestly think Khabib coasted a few rounds, feeling safe striking with AI. AI wasn't mounting much offence and Khabib didn't really commit to any takedowns in 3rd and 4th, like he did in first two rounds. It could be also an issue of energy management.
In the fifth, he turned the heat back on, threw a wild combo and took AI down pretty much immediately.

Agree. Also the way Khabib pulls out of fights even if it was scheduled for next week I figure Conor will have a good year or two to work on his TDD.
People like to play hypothetical games, but you can just as easily play that the other way. When Conor faced a lightweight on short notice, he was taken down and choked out in the second round
