Before the UFC 168 co-main event started, Sarah McMann knew she would be fighting the winner in February for the women's world title. Whoever it was, Tate or Rousey, McMann feels she is ready:

“Both girls did some things very well,” McMann said of the fight. “Both girls obviously made mistakes, like every fight you ever see.”

As to what mistakes Rousey made, well, McMann isn’t in the business of telling her opponent what she needs to work on.

“There’s no time that any of us go out there and don’t reveal something,” McMann said. “Even if Miesha couldn’t exploit it, she revealed it.

“If it were somebody that were making minute technical errors in striking, I would have a harder time exploiting it considering my background. But when people make a grappling error, I’m in a great position.”

Nice hopefully it will be a good fight Phone Post 3.0

Hoping for another barn burner Phone Post 3.0

McMann has Olympic credentials, but I frankly haven't been too impressed with her pro fights thus far. Hopefully, it'll be a great, competitive fight.

One thing I saw that McMann could definitely capitalize on was Ronda going for sacrifice throws. It hasn't hurt Ronda yet because she is able to outscramble her opponents when she winds up on the bottom, but a top-control beast like McMann could make her pay for those.

I also don't see her being able to easily flip McMann after she latches on to the armbar, like she did to get the finish in both Tate fights. McMann's base is too powerful.

I don't see Sara being able to stop Rousey. She is physically strong, but doesn't move as well as Rousey. And I still think Baszler was getting the better of her in some of the grappling exchanges. I think McMann-Tate would be more competitive match up.

I've been impressed with her wrestling (duh), her strength, and her ability to fight out of submissions after she has been caught. I've been thoroughly unimpressed with her striking, her athletic movement skills (she's a bit of a plodder), and her ability to stay out of submissions in the first place.

Yeah, she had a tough time with Baszler. Not sure how much she's improved since then. Hopefully enough to give Ronda a run for her money.
