I’ve heard theories that, based on how they’re used and the funding they put into them, the first self aware AI will come from Wallstreet and not the universities and researchers/scientists actively trying to make AI.
One interesting theory speculates that if AI became self aware, would it recognize that, and hide it from the rest of the world. This leads to a bunch of different theories of what a self aware Wallstreet AI would do, with its primary goal of amassing profits and wealth.
All the different theories are interesting, and kinda scary. But it all comes down to the same thing, in the words of George Carlin “It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it”

An AI named Aladdin is the one purchasing all of this real estate for Black Rock. This robot controls the most wealth on earth.

The show offers quite the paradox. The premise is a team of six people from the future come back in time to save humanity from nuclear destruction. These people from the future are being directed by an AI on their mission. There are alternate humans attempting to stop them from succeeding.
