Megan Anderson vs. Felicia Spencer

It's embarrassing that these fights still happen in the supposed top org in the world

It is. Legit high level fighters like Mighty Mouse, Macdonald, and Mousasi were let go for other orgs because UFC was too cheap to keep em. The likes of Megan Anderson get fights almost at the top of the card. "Super Bowl of MMA." Yeah right

Yeah and wasn’t Megan pretty highly rated or hyped before coming to the UFC? It seems she isn’t that good after all …I find women’s Mma for the most part, hard to watch

Like many before her, if she spent all the time she spends on social media training, she has huge potential. I think this is a huge factor in why Women’s MMA isn’t progressing, being a top athlete takes dedication and work, half of them seem to want to be pouting on social media more than they wanna spend the time improving

PeteyWheatstraw - Haven't seen the fight yet. I like Megan, but it sounds like it wasn't very competitive. Also sounds like Spencer is legit, so no serious shame in the loss. Probably a good wake up call and an opportunity to improve beyond posting striking drills on instagram. No ground game, you lose. Makes me think Cat probably could have beat her on the ground, but we all know Cat probably would have tried to trade with Megan cause Cat fights crazy.

Megan had a prefight interview where she’s talking about Spencer coming to the UFC and how she’s jumping up to a much higher level. Kind of speaking like she herself is among that upper echelon, but she really isn’t. Got dominated by Holly, and a fluke win over Cat. Now a bad loss over a good, but not a world beater type opponent.

This was her chance to show UFC level skill in a decent matchup and she didn’t. Get back to training your all around game, work harder, and consider yourself a fortunate humble visitor in UFC until you prove otherwise.

Spencer’s striking looked clumsy…  Megan’s one power shot looked good.

I don’t think Felicia’s ground game looked THAT special. She was fast on the ground and showcased good reaction time. It’s just that Megan was basically paralyzed.

Felicia would get it

megan should be 0-3 if she cur her toenails!

Megan tagged her solid about 2-3 times I think, but it didn’t throw her game off at all. Props to Felicia for chin/toughness. Spencer looked quick and capable with her grappling, but you’re right, it was more Megan just having very limited ability in that area.

Congrats to Felicia, hopefully she gets more fights. And hopefully Megan shifts focus of her training to 80% grappling.

Also, Megan’s clinch looked weak, as it did in her fight against Holly.

This takes year of dedication to improve.
