Great fight but why kill off a contender that soon? If eddie signs you would have two top LW contenders added to the div, dont see the point of killing one of them off this early.
I'd say give Gilbert a title fight to unify the titles, Pettis if he beats Cowboy is next and give Eddie a fight with maynard, Diaz or Lauzon/Miller.
Try to get Gilbert, Pettis and Eddie/Maynard title shots next year.
DOnt think Pettis should get a shot beating Cowboy. I think he needs to face a wrestler before he gets to fight Bendo. He might have a win but dont forget how Guida wrestle fucked him and how close the fight with Stephens was.
Pettis should get first crack if he gets through Cowboy. He's the last to beat Bendo in an ALL TIME classic match up.
I love the idea of a mini champion grand prix where SF champ fights Bellator champ for a shot at UFC champ but I forgot that Chandler beat Alvarez. Still a good fight tho.
