After a succesfull show last weekend, KSW MMA organization continues to grow. This time with KSW 23 which takes place in Gda?sk, Poland on June 9. The Europian promotion signs Dutch Melvin Manhoef (27-9-1 (1) MMA) for fighting KSW champ Mamed Khalidov (26-4-2 MMA) in the main event. Also the well known five time winner World's Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski (5-2 (1) MMA) will participate in the co-main event but his opponent is not yet announced. Former UFC fighter Kendall Grove (18-12 (1) MMA, 7-6 UFC) will battle against Michal Materla (18-3 MMA).

So KSW MW champ Materla is only fighting Mameds leftovers now?
Seems like they want to build up Khalidov and Materla seperately to eventually get big money offers from the UFC

I dont think its about getting offers from the UFC, I think its they wont fight each other.
Mamed is teh big name in KSW, Materla is the champ, they arent gonna bring in a big MW to fight Materla when they have Mamed. Any big name guy they can get at 185 is gonna fight Mamed because he is the star and the draw.
So Materla even though he is the champ he cant get any big time fresh fights, he just has to take leftovers.
Honestly the best thing that can happen is Materla loses the title, then have mamed fight whoever the champ is so he can become MW champ.
