Well, I shook his hand, had a pic taken with him and wished him good luck on Saturday.
Prolly not a big deal to most of you who live in the US and see fighters on a regular basis.
But where I live, in Perth, Australia is rare for world-famous fighters to stop by, and if they do, they usually do seminars that are out of my price range.
So for me, it was a bit of a big deal. I was nervous as fuck lol. I stood a bit of a distance from him when the pic was taken cos I didn't wanna feel like I was getting in his way haha.
He seems like a swell guy though. Had a press conference before and was cracking jokes. Was a damn awesome experience.
Also went to Evolve MMA yesterday where they had open workouts. Got to see Shinya Aoki and Rafael dos Anjos spar with each other, bloody awesome. Dos Anjos is a beast. Based just on what I saw yesterday, I think he'll bulldoze through Shalorus.

We cracked up and said it was an honor he was there and like that, but I know how you feel and I live in the States and have met 100s of fighters. Over 1,000 for sure.

Cheers! Only came because I got cheap plane tickets ($140 from Perth to SG) so thought "fuck it" and went ahead with it. Plus it's a good chance to pig out on SG food, among the best in the fucking world!!
Also gotta say Victor Cui (basically the Dana White of One) was kind enough to take my pic with Manhoef on my camera when I asked a group of about 6-7 ppl. That's kinda like David Stern stepping forward and volunteering to do that at an NBA event. He seems like a swell guy also!

last night this guy was asking Manhoef what he thought of Mark Hunt's current good run in the UFC, seeing as Manhoef KO'ed him in 18 seconds. Manhoef then chimed in and calmly said "17". We all laughed. Doesn't seem like a funny story but I guess you had to be there lol.

Just got back from the weigh-ins. Awesome. Was pretty surreal for me seeing something I've only really seen on youtube for the last 8 and a half years.
All fighters made weight and looked pretty amped. Tomorrow night's gonna be such an awesome night of fights I can feel it!
Oh and Traci I was like a foot from you pretty much the whole time the weigh-ins were happening. I prolly got in all the pics ya talk of the crowd lol. Didn't say nothing to ya cos you were workin, I prolly wouldn't have had to say anyway "Hey! I'm BrunoMcGyver from the UG! Ummmmm yeh, keep taking them good flicks........catch ya!" lol :P
JakeTheMuss - When I went to UFC 127 I saw Mark Hunt lining up in front of me to buy a hotdog. Not the coolest story but mind you this wad minutes after he knocked out Chris Tuchsherer.
He came out from backstage minutes after his walkaway KO to buy a hotdog, so casual. Fuckin badass!
