Metal Heads! - I met the evil genius tonight.

Awesome! I have actually been listening to sex and religion on my commute to work. Phone Post 3.0

^^ That performance at the Royal Albert Hall was sick. I'm digging this Devon Townsend Project and wondering how the fuck this ever escaped me back in the day. I think what might have happened is during my metal, punk, grunge, kickass days in 93 I got locked up for a while. When I came out I calmed down, moved west and started jiving to the motown and funk vibe because I needed the happy music to keep my spirits positive, lol! Moved into the mountains and lost touch with all things radio for a few years. I'm not sure, some good music escaped me during a stretch of years, that's all I know.

Not very familiar with the guy but fuck does he have some range on his vocals. Will definitely be checking out more of his stuff. What a talent.

I'm big fan of SYL but never really checked his solo stuff as I was a bit doing a fit for him not continuing in his awesome heavy ways. But that first song posted sure is heavy! Experimental but heavy for sure. He has such amazing versatile vocals!

A girl I'm banging texted how LOVE made her horny. We were supposed to bang on it but forgot (putting the song not the banging). Hot. Must be done.

I've been going down a Devin Townsend rabbit hole on youtube since you posted this thread.  My mind is unravelling.

City is one of my favourite metal records. Phone Post 3.0

That's the song that hooked me. Straight up anger Phone Post 3.0

Just fucking terrible music. Anyone who stills listens to metal after age 35 needs to grow up. Terribly uncreative.

I love you, you miserable fucker.

I was excited for you when I heard Kevin rejoined BSB. Phone Post 3.0

Stray, I can honestly say I've never heard anything like that video you posted in the OP. I'm not a metal guy but that was some cool shit (is that even metal? I have no idea what that would be called!?)

I've only heard of devin townsend and SYL but I couldn't name any of their music. I'll have to check some more of it out now.

He's tough to get into as the music can be pretty complex. Read some reviews and sample some different stuff. He covers a wide range of genres but you can find some pretty digestible stuff.

Try Juno. It's about him being a Canadian. It's pretty chill but sonic at the same time. Phone Post 3.0

Its easy to do. Those two live DVD's are amazing. I'm going to see if he or his people would have an issue with me uploading the Noisescapes demo to YouTube. Phone Post 3.0

Holy shit that first fucking video

6 Late Hammerfists - Stray - that is so awesome. I'm a huge fan of DS . His shit is literally some of the best metal ever made.

I grew up on SYL. Phone Post 3.0
Couldn't agree more Hammertime.

He's kind of an enigma to me. Seeing him standing there ordering a burrito was really fucking weird. Lol Phone Post 3.0

Here's another massive tune with Anneke. Just an amazing wall of sound.

It's okay in a pinch. Kids like it. Phone Post 3.0

I first heard Dtp after searching lime wire or kazaa back in like 2002 or 2003 for Devin the dude songs. I was amazed at some of the tunes I heard from him but lost track of it until recently again.

Devin is also the name of one of my sons Phone Post 3.0
