Mexican Super Star Mobbed By Texas Fans!!!!!

Pacquiao/Margarito fight week kicked off Sunday in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area when Antonio Margarito met with about 2,000 boxing fans at a South Fort Worth-area shopping center.

From high above the full-size boxing ring set up in La Gran Plaza, Margarito spoke to a loud crowd chanting ‘si se puede’ — ‘yes we can’ — before making his way into the ring, the place he called ‘mi casa.’

The controversial Margarito continued to speak to the largely Hispanic crowd in Spanish as they snapped photos and yelled questions to the weekend’s underdog from Tijuana.

Mariachis serenaded the three-time former champion, one of them topping Margarito with a giant sombrero, under which he conducted TV interviews before rolling through the crowd shaking hands, taking pictures and signing autographs.

Looks like Antonio Margarito has the Mexican Fan support

"Thousands of people showed up. But it's been this way everywhere that we've taken him. He's been getting big crowds," said Samuels, who is in Dallas handling the promotion. "When he was at the Cowboys' Stadium the last time, we had trouble moving him around the stadium a few months ago. He's very popular."

Top Rank Promotions' CEO, Bob Arum, told reporters during a recent conference call that he hoped to surpass "over 60,000" in attendance at the stadium
