I think the guy said he thought Rourke was not aware of the fix. I hope this is the case. I think Rourke has said or alluded to the meaning of the fight being some sort of metaphor for him fighting through issues in his life, which is something I can kind of relate to. The only motive I can think of for him to willingly participate in the fix would be if he thought it would just get his name out there to try to get more roles or if it was some method acting shit leading up to his next role. Those are reasonable motives, but I want to believe Rourke is just nutty enough to feel like throwing blows would somehow be good for his psyche.
