mmm. d/l'ing now.
WEIRD ending.
Is the grappling match bet. Imanari and Bravo still on?
Thank You
Imanari vs. Bravo? When and where?
What? When was Imanari gonna fight Bravo? I didn't know that, what the hell, I know everything....
Where can I get this on dvd?
that looked really painful... imanari needs to pick up other skills besides leglocks tho, that match was really boring until the end.
crazy ending.
Imanari used a similar submission on Tavares. It's like a heel hook without hooking the heel. Very weird.
Yall: Bravo i think confirmed that they were at least in negotiations/talks on this fight but i dont think its confirmed.
It would be in ZST I think or Deep. And, yes, grappling only.
Where you at Bravo?
Did you guys see that "but im not gay..." HL clip of Eddie? F'in hilarious shit.
"Imanari used a similar submission on Tavares. It's like a heel hook without hooking the heel. Very weird."
This is actually my favorite leg lock. Most don't really think you have anything. However its very easy to shread a guy's knee with this variation.
Fuckin hell Imanari is a damn magician with leglocks. We're 12 years into MMA and he's still pulling submissions that has long time grapplers scratching their heads. The mechanics of his locks are fucking awesome. The opponent goes from being puzzled to screaming bloody murder. Damn!
Thanks for the clip.
for those who might still be puzzled as to what happened.
If you watch the re-play, and check out Imanari's leg positioning, and Brown's knee and just think of the mechanics of it.....you will understand the move.
That being said, DO not do this while rolling, and be VERY VERY carefull while even drilling it. Its very easy to blow a guys knee out with this move.
Dam, almost as sweet as Chonan on Anderson. Nice!
Funny how nothing much happens the whole match then bam! Imanari time! It was also his first attempt of the fight.
Hope Brown was ok.
BTW, I never imagined a fighter coming out to No Ordinary Love. Kinda suits Imanari. He always seems to have this deep but dark calm. The music used in his highlight is dope too. Some japanese hip hop track i think (sounds like early krush).
Other than the supposed Bravo fight, does he have any big matchups coming up? How did he do with Hansen until he met Joachim's kneecap?
Where is this Imanari highlight you speak of?
"How did he do with Hansen until he met Joachim's kneecap?"
Did well, he actually caught Hansen in a heelhook, but never really got the chance to sink it tight....Hansen rolled out quick. But Hansen was in danger there for a second for sure.
It should be noted that Hansen seems to be able to get out of heelhooks very well.
Rumina Sato had Hansen in a heelhook, and to this day how the hell Hansen got out I will never understand. It looked tight as fuck. Rumina went for a few more and then got his head beat into the mat. Very exciting fight imho.
