Mike Perry is among five boxers facing medical suspensions as result of their boxing matches Saturday in Tampa, Fla.

The Florida Athletic Commission (FAC) released a full list of suspensions acquired by MMA Junkie on Thursday that included Perry, who lost to Jake Paul by TKO in the sixth round of a scheduled eight-round cruiserweight boxing match. Perry was suspended 60 days.

Perry absorbed a barrage of punches and was knocked down by Paul midway through Round 6. The referee reached an eight count before Perry got up. When the referee told Perry to walk to the right, Perry stumbled and the fight was waved off.

Check out a full list of medical suspensions below. The FAC did not release injury specifics, but just the duration of each suspension. It’s important to note fighters can typically return to competition prior to the conclusion of their suspensions should they be cleared by a physician.

Jake Paul has long claimed that he’ll fight under MMA rules someday. Could it be against Mike Perry?

Paul and Perry squared off under boxing rules this past Saturday and it was Paul who left the ring with an emphatic victory after defeating Perry via knockout in the sixth round. The pre- and post-fight talk between the two has vacillated from friendly to antagonistic depending on occasion, but for now they seem to be at peace.

On Thursday, Paul tweeted that he had a productive talk with Perry and he hinted at a possible fight under MMA rules in the PFL at some point in the future.

“Chopped it up with Mike Perry last night,” Paul wrote. “What a stand-up dude. More confidence than most of these fighters. We agreed to run it in PFL when the time is right.”

Perry responded, “Appreciate ya dude, respect.”

Paul announced that he had signed with the PFL in January 2023, but is yet to compete for the promotion as he continues to focus on his boxing career. The 27-year-old has rattled off four straight wins after dropping a disappointing split decision to rival Tommy Fury.

It’s unlikely that Paul faces the BKFC star again under any rule set anytime soon, as he has set his sights on bigger fish, including UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Though Paul probably won’t book that fight either, it’s clear that he’s moved on from Perry for now.

That said, Paul added in a subsequent tweet that he’s open to competing in the future for Perry’s recently founded Dirty Boxing Championship organization:

How much is PFL paying jake Paul for talking about possibly fighting in the PFL while not actual fighting in it.

His brain absolutely got damaged in that fight. He’s permanently changed now. Would you guys take serious brain damage in exchange for cash? Perry had no business in there but that was his decision. He was doing just fine at the bare knuckle thing but he got greedy

perry is a real one. i wouldn’t love his chances in mma against jake either. jake needs to fight somebody else that cuts from 230. poatan is a great choice.

I don’t think Jake is generally that big.

Did you see him before the fight change? Talking about loving being a HW but he looked fat as fuck. The McDonald’s bulk for Tyson lol.

In the later stages of that fight he was getting to the point where guys fall into comas and shit. Nasty sustained beatdown worse than anything he ever took in MMA.

Yeah I think its likely Jake is starting to really think about rematching Nate or maybe Perry in an actual MMA fight at this point. Hes tested them in boxing already so has a feel for how they move and their strength and power. He knows he can land on them and that its gonna be a lot worse for them with small gloves and no counts if he does.

Perry just too tough for his own good.

His MMA fights he never wanted to quit, he would get stopped like when his nose disappeared.

His level of toughness is great for real life or death situations, not so much for sport.

yeah and he’s confident they can’t take him down.

How much was he paid to take that dive…

Its best if he retires now or at least take 6 months off without sparring.
