Awesome post superCalo
superCalo -InspiritMick - Fucking Brazilians and everyone else have been dealing with American home field advantage for years. Welcome to global sport America....
we have had global sport here for decades son, have you not heard of the baseball world series.
my apologies....lol!
And if passed as law this will instantly send the porn industry out of state. Well done California. Again, another click in the ratchet that is Californian implosion.
ufcman187 - I don't blame any american fighters for not wanting to go after the way they were treated last time. wasn't they all chanting " you're going to die " or some weird shit like that. You see what they do when they lose a soccer match. Especially if I beat one of their legends. HAve them do the fight next time they go to Japan or Canada. Neutral grounds
You sound like a massive fucking pussy. the rest of the world seems to manage just fine. AGAIN.....welcome to global sport you faggot. You think it's been easy for foreign fighters fighting in America all these years?
Eric Bloodaxe - I find it funny how a lot of people on this board are scared senseless by the world outside their home town. Mir easily could've gone to Brazil, there'll be no serious trouble whatsoever for Chael, fans on this board could go to Brazil and likely be fine.
I've been to Brazil, other South American countries, several African countries, several Asian countries, a bunch of Eastern Euro countries. The world isn't that dangerous if you take a few precautions...
ur not the only person that has.
difference is he is recieving threats from crazy fans. problem is the whole week he will be around brazilian mma fans and there will be some that hate him.
While many Brazilians are barbarians living in a third world shithole....I don't know if I buy any of this.
Beating Cain right now is a much faster track to the UFC title than beating Werdum.
Simple as that.
Just say it, Mir.
It's okay.
We'll we already knew that Brazilian fans are the worst in the sport. No shocker there. Injecting the nationalist/soccer sentiment into MMA is stupid. They have no concept of sportsmanship. Can't even take a picture with an opponent? lol....childish.
Hate on. But it's the truth.
Eric Bloodaxe -superCalo -I appreciate the effort, Sir. But I'm afraid I'm familiar with your work.Eric Bloodaxe - I find it funny how a lot of people on this board are scared senseless by the world outside their home town. No offense meant to you, I am sure you had enlightening experiences but why would you want to go outside the USA in the first place ? thats something I just dont get, we have the best of everything here already why go anywhere else for second best ?
...and aren't you Korean?
...and Swedish?
Big mistake by Cain. Cain is much more terrifying than the Brazilian masses.
If Mir was smart he'd realize that. The Brazil danger thing is horribly overblown.
Now some here are thinking in terms of risk/reward logic, and if you think his chances against Cain and Werdum are equal then yes, fighting Cain makes much more sense. However while they are both tough fights for him, I see him having a lot better shot at beating Werdum. And even if he lost to Werdum, it probably wouldn't be the complete smashing Cain is likely to give him.
Cain is just not a good fight for Mir because Cain pretty much has to hand Mir the victory in order for Cain to lose.
InspiritMick -Waaaaa. "We're a minority in a sport. Poor us. Please give us a handicap so we can compete." Same douchtasticness from every one of your posts. You're the only wanker and weepy vagina here. You're just jealous because the Irish suck at MMA and the UK can't even build a top ten fighter. USA! USA! I don't entirely disagree with that point, which is why I mentioned posters on this board first, and Frank Mir as just an example. I still think he would have been fine if they had been professional about dealing with fans, but I'm not gonna judge Mirs decision.
That's my Frank Stallone impression!

Hate on. But it's the truth.
UFC in Brazil 2: Cannibal holocaust
Did Dos Santos really say he couldn't take a pic with Frank Mir? Because if that's true, that's ridiculous.
stevekt - Both are tough fights. Cain is the more dangerous opponent and has the higher payoff if Frank pulls it off. Werdum is arguably the easier opponent but would produce many more distractions leading up to the fight. Frank has said before that he prefers to fight in Vegas because his home, family, and camp are there. I would be interested in seeing Frank's record of Home vs Away fights.3 of his 5 losses came in fights away from Vegas. His two losses that occured in Vegas were to Cruz in a fight that everyone knows he shouldnt have taken, and to Lesnar. So he only has one fully legitimate loss when fighting in Vegas.
10 of his 16 wins occured in Vegas. Funnily enough, his current streak is the first time Mir has gone on a winning streak where the majority of his fights in that time didnt take place in Vegas. He's only fought once in Vegas since he lost to Brock, and that was his victory over Nelson.
Haha- this reminds me of that story Dave Chappelle told about going to Disneyworld with his family.
Everybody's running up to him going, "I'm Rick James, BITCH!"
and he's like, "You mind not calling me a bitch in front of my kids?"
LOL. It's hilarious picturing the same thing happening to Mir.
The Brazilian crowd is one of the main reasons i look forward to their events.
Amazing crowd.
