Mississippi man hogtied by police dies in custody

^^ Please notice the last statement of the top section- Prone position (facedown) is CONTRAINDICATED= NOT FUCKING ALLOWED.

Once again, Please dont argue wit me when I tell you what the fuck I do and do not do on my ambulance.

I'll preface this with emphasizing I have no issue with medics or firefighters. Perhaps it was unintentional, but your initial post came off like you have a chip on your shoulder. I specifically responded to your claim that an in-custody suspect is no longer the responsibility of police once in your ambulance. That's wrong and I will continue to say so.

I have the same experience you do-police and fire work as a team. But you are wrong as to who is in charge. The officer is still responsible for his in-custody suspect, even when in your ambulance. Your department policy does not supersede law. You're right, it's not normally ever an issue because most officers, with the exception of badge-heavy idiots, know that the medical care you are rendering takes precedent except in the most extreme and irregular of circumstances. I guess we are both right in a sense.
Yes, the officer in charge of the CUSTODY of the perp.
But seeing as he is now a PATIENT, I am in charge of his medical care.

No point in arguing any further.

But I will say this- if ANYTHING an officer was doing was to interfere with my delivering proper, NEEDED medical care (life threatening situation), I would ultimately win that pissing contest. Because if that guy died, it would be a huge fucking mess

I don't disagree with any of that. I don't think you read my initial post very well though. Phone Post 3.0

Everyone knows that once a person comes in contact with a police officer, fireman, EMT, doctor, or other person in any official capacity, they are incapable of dying. Medical fact. If someone dies while in the presence of any of these people, it is clearly due to criminal actions. There is no other explanation.
