And I'm disgusted...
ttt
thats the first thing i said after the fight. im starting to fall out of love with this sport...
MMA wishes.
FUCK THE UFC!
ttt f the ufc. please all fighters go to strikeforce
Ray Mercer would KO every champ in every weight class of the UFC, maybe in 1 night.
Dont insult boxing!
how did mma become boxing? 2003 join date and you don't know the difference? other than you're crying over a decision you disagree with?
what advantage is it of california's or the CSAC to have machida, a guy from brazil, win the fight? comparing that to malignaggi/diaz in houston and many other instances is not reasonable.
comparing any judge's decision to de la hoya having a gopher judge on every athletic commission is not reasoinable.
what advantage is it of the UFC's or Dana White's to keep Machida as champion? especially when after the fight Dana is telling Shogun that he thinks he got screwed?
fuck the UFC? people making threads to boycott the UFC? do you ignorant rednecks understand that the judges are from the state athletic commissions?
if you wanna see something suspicious, don't look at this decision. look at dana and keith kizer's reactions during and right after the GSP/BJ 2 fight, running into the cage, talking on camera to rashad and the crow about phil nurse cheating, and then look at them acting like nothing happened at the hearing 2 months later and dismissing everything with a cheek turned the other way.

3 judges forming that decision after watching that fight does not seem reasonable. If the UFC is truly on the up-and-up, wouldn't Zuffa be screaming to anyone that would listen about the bad judging?
32Hunter - Corrupt as hell !! the casinos kept a lot of money tonight.
lol, yeah the california state athletic commission have close ties with casino's in vegas. especially the big money ones on indian reservations in so cal.
the betting on machida/shogun was very very low and inactive compared to most main events and so were the ticket sales. lol, this was not the event for corrupt people to make a fortune on.
stop letting joe rogan's commentary influence you.
close fight, gotta snatch the champ's belt from him. gsp snatched hughes' belt, rampage snatched chuck's belt. BJ snatched sherk's belt. anderson snatched rich's belt. this was a close fight.

lol, how long have you been following this sport? how long have you been following boxing?
there have been so many bad decisions in MMA and in the UFC over the years, but now all the sudden since this fight is something you had a more vested interest in, you want zuffa to "scream to anyone that would listen"???
all the sudden NOW it's a big deal? I don't understand how this is any different than decisions people have disagreed with.
and you fail to respond to any of my questions about why machida winning is advantageous to the CSAC.
what can they do about judges? they're in a different state every month. they can't do anything about 15 different athletic commissions. we need better more educated judges in MMA today, just like we did last month and all the years leading up to now.
the judges scored it 3 rounds to 2 for Machida. I don't think that's some totally unreasonable unacceptable outrageous decision. 3 rounds to 2? close rounds the champ gets the nod. you have to take the belt. it's one way or the other, you either have it 3 for shogun and 2 for machida or 3 for machida and 2 for shogun. you act like they gave it 5 rounds to none or 4 to 1.
I don't know if Machida won, I'm still gonna re-watch it, but people are comparing this to a 118-110 Malignaggi/Diaz decision and corruption in boxing. when really it's just a close fight resulting in a decision they disagree with.
^^^Re-watch and tell us what you think.
Sonester Sambo - like forrest snatched rampages?
exactly. yet another bad decision.
how come nobody flipped out and screamed corruption and casino betting corruption and wanted to boycott the UFC and said mma was turning into boxing at that point?
Seriously? Crazy, I was just about to make a thread "MMA has finally caught up to boxing" but you beat me to the punch. We can now look forward to horrible decisions. And based on some of what I've read in here tonight, you could have someone knock off one ear one round, the other the next, and a nose the next and STILL justify that person getting a decision.
First off..
Where in the rules does it say that close rounds always go to the champ?? Not in any rulebook, but a long standing tradition in BOXING..
Cecil Peoples is a KNOWN Karate nutthugger. He is polluting the other judge's perspectives, obviously. There is your bias.
The majority of people had Shogun winning that fight. Somehow, the judges see a totally opposite fight. Just like BOXING.
Sure, it's not 100% like boxing, but we're getting there.
