David Stanford - MMA Live 1 scheduled for May 19th in London, Ontario at the John Labatt Centre has officially got a main event. As reported earlier this week former UFC Judoka Karo Parisyan (19-6, 1NC) will take on powerful Canadian welterweight prospect Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford (14-3) in the evening’s main event attraction.
With the victory in his most recent bout at AMMA 6 in March, Ford has won 6 of his last 7 fights. Ford, the #8 ranked Canadian welterweight, has long sought to take a step up in competition and Parisyan will likely prove to be arguably his stiffest test to date.
Jones Entertainment Group (JEG), the promoters staging the event, also announced a handful of other notable bouts for the card.
Brazilian Marcus "Maximus" Aurelio (20-9), who last faced Shinya Aoki at DREAM 16 last September, will take on Kingston, Ontario’s Cory MacDonald (12-2) who will come into the bout riding a 7 fight winning streak. Former WEC bantamweight Kyle Dietz (5-2), who hasn’t competed since 2009, will also be in action against Ottawa’s Nick Denis (9-2) who hasn’t competed since losing to Yuji Hoshino at Sengoku 12 in Japan last March.

Ford all day. Parisyan is a mess these days.
RKing85 - Ford all day. Parisyan is a mess these days.
Then why make the fight? If Ford blasts through a 'barely there' Karo it does nothing for Ford's rep. Its not like we're in the days when a win over a named fighter would get Joe Silva's attention.
Can ford fight in the states, because of his criminal record? Is that a reasone why he hasnt or wont be signed to the big show?
Auerilo vs Macdaonald, jeus, there has to be a 30 pound weight diffence. That fight makes zero sense.
Hardstaff - Auerilo vs Macdaonald, jeus, there has to be a 30 pound weight diffence. That fight makes zero sense.Cory MacDonald, not Jason MacDonald.

Corey MacDoanld is a huge welterweight, Marcus Aurilo is a lightweight, MacDonald will be close to 200 for the fight.
I'm sure karo will come to this fight in shape.
Hopefully Karo comes in to fight, he used to be a top contender. I heard he looked terrible against Hallman.
This card is shapping up nicely. Still won't buy a ticket until I see the whole thing though.
Seconded that MacDonald is a giant WW. I consider TJ Grant an average WW and I have seen them train together, Cory looks huge next to him.
Same clan.
Snarl Snatch - He got dropped immediately by Hallman...he didn't look terrible, the fight was over too soon.
He was out of shape, though.
If Karo has kicked his addictions I think he'll take it...but I don't think anyone can say whether that's the case without inside info. Saying he's a "mess these days" is stupid...unless you've actually seen him in the last few days.
recovering from addictions is not a matter of weeks or months it's years.
Interesting fight.
The event will take place at the 9,000-seat capacity John Labatt Centre (JLC) in London, Ontario and will coincide with the traveling "MMA Expo" featuring an appearance by UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon "Bones" Jones during the day of the fights.
Here are the Top-8 reasons to get to London to check it out.

Have the fights been finalized yet?
Good line-up. Hopefully this promotion sticks around for a while to come and continues to put on shows of this level.
Dougie - This card is shapping up nicely. Still won't buy a ticket until I see the whole thing though.
LOL Mr.Pickey.Hard to believe that you have been crying for MMA in Ontario for years.
People Like Snatch Get Slapped -recovering from addictions is not a matter of weeks or months it's years.
Maybe that's what you've observed...but biologically, your body recovers within weeks or months (at the MOST).
I'm not talking about the physical aspect of it. when the addictions are fueled by mental problems they are extremely difficult to overcome.
