My thoughts here are that wrestling is absolutely a combat sport but a wrestling match isn’t a fight just like a bjj match isn’t a fight. I have a deep background in both sports. Muay thai, boxing, kb, etc are fights. It is what it is. Striking has the direct intention of creating pain to someone where as grappling arts are about controlling someone. Fighting is hurting.
