Any other low end fighters such as myself having the problem of being introduced as an ultimate fighter and you have to explain that Ultimate fighting is a brand name or an organisation, while clarifying that you've never been in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Fever, I have the same problem. I always say UFC is the "big leagues", like Major League Baseball. Since I am a mere amatuer fighter I say I am about the equivilent of a "Single A" ballplayer. Meaning I am beter than people off the street, hoping one day to be good enough to make it to the big show, but realistically not that good compared to the Major Leaguers. You can be Single A, Double A, or Triple A; if you want to use my analogy.

Most adults have an awareness of "Ultimate Fighting", many cant name any fighters. Seems to be the same amongst the youth (at least from what I've experienced).

The average unique stays really long at an MMA site, like 19 minutes.

In the old or "dark" days I used this site and the number of members (when you used to display on page 1) and the related growth as an indicator of the sports growth.

FOXSPORTS mains website had a pic of FORREST vs. SINOSIC ON FRONT PAGE WITH LINK TO A BLOG WITH COVERAGE OF LAST EVENT....as the vent was happenign had play by play reviews of each bout = HUGE

hAVE SEEN NEWSPAPER ARTICLES IN sAN FRANCISSO/SAN JOSE papers and heard interviews of FRANK SHAMROCK AND CUNG LE on local sports talk shows before the STRIKEFORCE event.

And the kicker...ROD BROOKS, sport talk host with RICK BARRY here in SF bay area was talking about how much he hears everyone talking about MMA...this was a few months after him initially saying it seemd to be human cockfighting and dissing it off

popularity has seemed to grow exponentially the last few months.
