 No.  The first answer is close.  The second one is probably not.

Maybe because they see the arabs as the fastest gateway to the asian market?



Maybe but the ufc is a cash cow and I'm puzzled why they would sell a part of it.

I'm sure whatever reason they had was a win win that benefitted both the ufc and the Shiek but I've never heard what their goal they wanted to accomplish was. I'm just curious.

I can't wait for the tell-all book Joe Silva or somebody like that releases 20 years from now and we finally get the real details on a lot of the behind-the-scene stuff like the 10% to Abu Dhabi and all of that sorta stuff.

Totally different question, but I was watching old Pride events recently and was wondering what happened to Alex Stiebling - he looked awesome against Goes and Wallid and I never really heard of him anymore again. Did Anderson Silva steal his soul by nearly kicking his head off his shoulders? (btw, best intro ever by Anderson before that fight)
