MMA "Series of unfortunate events"

MMA is without a doubt the most unpredictable sport in the world.

With that said, in my opinion it has laid way for many outcomes of many fighters career.

There's a few examples, like the downfall of certain fighters:

Fedor Emelianenko for example was thought unbeatable for a long time, and got finished by Werdum and Henderson on what many consider a "lucky" victories.

Then I think of Mark Hominick who had a thriving career and then lost in seemingly unfortunate fashion all according to the unpredictable quality of MMA.

Any other fighters you can think of that have managed to drastically alter a career trajectory from a few unfortunate events? Phone Post 3.0
