MMA.tv dropped the ball hiring Elias

Eileias is just off too much!!!

I know MMA.tv needs original content, so I'm not mad at them, I just want them to see the pattern that is forming....

Eliase Cepita constantly writes very poorly sourced, "editorial" articles and he hides behind being a journalist by saying..... " hey it's just a blog"

but MMA.tv is paying this dude $100 a week to write a terrible, poorly worded, bad grammar "BLOG" (and I get that they need original content) .... but that's already what the forum is.... if I needed an idiot saying nonsense I would just go to your forum.....

heck, I already do that!!!

all I'm saying is there's no reason to pay Elisita to write,  just because you need "original content"

how many articles has Elesis had where the majority of members didn't think he was an idiot?

not many..... "I am a disappoint"!!

I used to like him until he made a blog insinuating holly Holm was on PEDS when she ko'd ronda.

IN

.... i'm not a perfect man, but I don't pretend to be…

hes just a regular forum member responding to his bad posts. No one seems to like his writing and he looks chubby (what's the deal with that?)

I understand he's been fired from a couple of different places so I know he's hard up… But I will be interested to see if he steps his writing skill up, in the coming few months that he works here .......before he gets fired again

Rudi - I used to like him until he made a blog insinuating holly Holm was on PEDS when she ko'd ronda.

That's what kinda got my attention also, put him on the radar… But go look at all of his "journalism" it's low rent at best

i'm not trying to single him out… I'm sure he's a good guy….But paying this guy to produce original content is ridiculous

you might as well hire CRE for free

shots fired

Lol

Hopefully the one hundred dollars a week that MMA.tv is paying him will allow him time to transition to his job as a factory worker

Lol

..."slugger"!

i can imagine your POV, but you should state a solution

His resume supports him being hired. You can agree or disagree with his opinions, but he is qualified.

like him or not you have to admit that Elian has accomplished a lot since coming to the states

I think the quality of his writing is fine. It's just what he says that sucks most of the time.

Good point!!!

About the author:
Elias Cepeda has served as a writer and editor covering mixed martial arts and combat sports, as well as public and cultural affairs, since 2005. (although anyone in the world can do that ) He began as a staff writer for InsideFighting, and not long thereafter became publisher and editor of the page. (inside fighting is bankrupt) Cepeda then went to write for Yahoo! Sports’ boxing and MMA pages, and edited their Cagewriter blog. He was hired away by FOX Sports, but after several years departed over philosophical differences with the executive leadership around important issues of journalism ethics. (LOL sounds like you sucked and they quickly realize that… Just as the rest of us regular people have realized that on out fucking topical forum) A student of and sometime (ooooohhhhhhh... sometimes!!!!!) competitor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA since 1999, Elias brings a unique and vibrant presence to reporting, and enjoys trying to highlight shared humanity and connect common experiences from seemingly different worlds.(so he's just a big ole emotional pussy?)

We are honored to announce that Elias will be writing a weekly column for The UnderGround (we are not that honored)

Likely he'll bankroll that 400/month into some baller lifestyle that we can all live vicariously through.

Don't sweat these crumbsnatchers Eli. 24K magic.

Fire him from receiving $100 a week for nonsense… And allow him to be a member, and for $30 he can buy himself a blue name

how's that for a solution?
