Every era has good fighters, dominant fighters. But there's some guys like Roberto Duran in boxing that just transcend time as all time greats (ATG). Who makes the active ATG list? What would a real top 10 look like?
I've got (in no particular order):
1. Jon Jones
2. Jose Aldo
3. Frankie Edgar
4. Lyoto Machida
5. Dan Henderson/Anderson (both of these fighters are well into their carreers)
6. Urijah Faber?
7. Pettis/Weidman
8. Rory
9. Fabricio Werdum?
10.Khabib/ Ronda (historically, and relative to her division Ronda is miles ahead of the competition)
Everything below five is very debateable, most of them need more time. Aldo, Hendo, Jones, Anderson, Ronda and Edgar are my locks. I'd like to see what peoples picks are for the more debateable ones though. Some like Rory and Khabib have potential but just need more fights to show it, others are inconsistent. What are your thoughts on who should make the list, and what's your surprising pick?
Mine is probably Frankie Edgar, some might not think it'll stand the test of time, but Frankie has accomplished a fuck ton against elite fighters of all sizes.
