                    <p>UFC&nbsp;middleweight Gangster from Oregon Chael Sonnen has gone to remarkable lengths to goad Brazilian fighters, and by extention, Brazil itself.</p>

“I was in Las Vegas when the Nogueira brothers first touched down in America," recounts Chael. "There was a bus - this is a true story - there was a bus that pulled up to a red light and Little Nog tried to feed it a carrot while Big Nog was petting it. He thought it was a horse. This really happened. Do you believe me that that really happened? He tried to feed a bus a carrot, and now you’re trying to tell me that country has computers?”

In response, a Brazilian reporter tried to prank Chael with a shock pen. Even more ominously, a trio of killers reminiscnet of those twins on Breaking Bad with the shiny axe, were spotted lurking dangerously at ringside.

Now Sonnen has been selected to coach opposite Wanderlei Silva in the latest TUF Brazil season. Concern has been voiced for Sonnen's safety from various quarters, including most recently his mother Claudia.

"I'm worried about his safety during filming there," she said, as translated by MMAMania. "I know you all are legal, decent people. My sister and her family received an exchange student from Brazil who has lived in her house when Chael was younger and they have shared many hours with each other. That said, it only takes one to ruin it ... and I pray that you not allow someone to reach Chael in person. He is a great coach and is eager to help the young fighters as much as he can."

I was shocked when Dana said on TV he hadn't heard of any potential problem with Chael's safety as a coach in Brazil, that's a fairly significant oversight.   I think he will actually become popular in Brazil from coaching there because he's probably the best coach TUF ever had, but his mom is right it only takes 1 person to screw the pooch.

The best "coach TUF ever had?" Which title has he held, again? He might be the best hype-man ever, but he isn't going to teach interview skills to ESL fighters that quickly.

You don't have to hold a title to have a lot of knowledge or be a good coach. Jon Jones is a champion and he was kind of a shitty coach. Phone Post 3.0
