Just read on Fightlinker that even though Johnson is leaving CBS that only deals with football and basketball. His deal with showtime is separate so he will still be calling strikeforce events and boxing cards.

Gus is the worst announcer I have ever heard. He knows fuck all about anything related to combat sports, and what's worse is when something exciting is happening all he can do is scream about it, and so in the biggest moments of a fight, instead of deferring to the actually knowledgeable and composed professionals alongside him, Showtime in their infinite wisdom has him drown out everyone else with his screaming idiocy. I really have no idea how anyone in their right mind could consider him good at anything he does when trying to call an MMA or boxing match. Maybe he's like a shitty baseball player who is making a gagillion dollars so they just play him and let him suck ass in an effort to try to recoup some of that bad investment. I'd rather scrape the slime off my sweaty balls and eat it than have to listen to that fuckwit scream shit. Fuck that guy and his stupid makeup. God he wears too much makeup. If Tammy Faye Baker was in the building she'd tell his makeup artist that that's too much fucking makeup. He looks like a corpse shot with a paintball gun. There isn't a single thing I'd miss about the entire broadcasting crew at SF. Esepcially Mauro, the fake accent and 2.00 cliche factory.
Maybe they should just put rogan and goldie there too. I can't stand goldie but he's lightyears ahead of anyone SF has, and they aren't going to be doing simultaneous events unless they're stupid. So why not?
Personally I think Rogan has made a huge impact on the fanbase because he puts a lot of effort into explaining what you're seeing, what to watch for and all around MMA info. Especially for fans that are new, his knowlege is a gold mine, and he makes it easy to bring in new fans.
