There's nothing to be surprised about a fighter quitting (or polishing it up with retirement). Majority fighters don't have the balls/heart for 20+ UFC fights. All the talk is smoke and mirrors. Fighters give up and fold in fights all the time and fighters lose one time and can't fight through the adversity. Coward fighters are the majority and they all portray themselves in the public as something they're not.
A key rule to everything in life that cowards must not believe in- "don't start what you can't finish."
If you are speaking of Mcgregor what did he not finish? Got the strap and did it faster then any other fighter. Made millions which few have and did it faster too. Had some sort of rifts with the UFC/Dana decides to retire a multimillionaire rather then bow down and do what he is told for peanuts like most other fighters. Somehow I don't see that as quitter after all he has accomplished.
This school yard bravado shtick is getting tiresome... Sigh!

This. VU He's made more than most of the ufc roster combined. I think jealousy is the reason for the McGregor hate.

While kind of said in a dickish manner, I have to agree with this.

In fairness, Jeremy said his piece in a pretty dickish manner as well.

He also decided not to honor a contract HE SIGNED which calls for fight promotion.
