Has anyone else noticed the tough image that most(def not all) fighters try to portray? That I'll Fuck you up for looking at me or asking me questions attitude.
Just curious
I'd say that guys in a fighters entourage do that more. Like hey I'm hanging out with a guy that's a fighter, therefore I'm going to look all pissed off and tough.
Can't really say that's my impression. Most guys I know who fight know that they are skilled and can handle themselves in a fight, so they have no need to go around trying to get in trouble to prove themselves. Especially when you don't get paid a dime for fighting idiots in bars...
It's funny when I'm out in public somewhere, either at a store, walking along a sidewalk, anything, I always see at least ONE guy who's walking around in some muscle shirt with a pissed off look on his face, trying to look intimidating.
I just want to walk up to someone like that and "accidently" bump into them and see if they say anything.
The insecure ones act tough, the tough ones dont usually unless they are an ass-hole.
The guys that really have the skills to pay the bills aren't worried about proving it to anyone and everyone and also have enough experience to know that acting that way is a good way to spend lots of time in jail.
All the Pro's I've met have been pretty laid back. Especially the MMA guys.
all the pros i met are pretty laid back the whole looking tough thing seems more of a So-Cal problem
Thats why we need a UFC special fear factor to find out
I've met a lot of fighters and all of them were friendly and approachable
except Ken Shamrock. And even he wasn't that bad after a couple of
minutes. Tito was about as nice a guy as anyone I'd just met. I don't buy
that most fighters put on a tough guy act. It's certainly not been my
experience.
Robin.
But can they eat maggots in a swimming pool of electric eels ?
most of the guys in mma are very down to earth. if they are an asshole to other fighter they must be like that in their everyday life.
i'm not tough in the slightest.
Striking Viking has it correct by the way.
