Mouth Guards

What is the best type of mouth guard to get for fighting? Something that will save your teeth, support your jaw on impack .... all the basics of a good mouth peice?

Also what is your opion on custom mouth pieces from your dentist? How much do they usually cost, can you get them from any dentist?

Lil Katai

I use a WIPPS and have been very happy with it. The cheaper "shock doctor" ones have been pretty good as well.

wipps for me

I put a wipps in before and didn't like it. It's to big. I have a shock doctor now but I was just wondering if theres something better. Or the top digit for the shock doctor?

WIPPS now makes a "low profile" version that is smaller and more comfortable...you might want to check it out. I would highly recommend a double mouthguard for any contact.

I'm using the WIPPS "Ultimate" now, and they are a little big. I'm somewhat adjusted to it, but next time I'm going to try the "low profile".

Im not good with mouth guards. Having something that bulking would only bother me. Plus, if I get caoght in a choke, I move my mouth peice around so I can move my jaw. Hard to explain but its a werid thing I got going on to release the pressure of a choke.

I need smaller mouth guard cause the bigger ones I tend to not keep in my mouth and just play with. I cant keep my mouth shut with them. The smaller ones almost go unnoticed and I can keep them in. But I want a smaller one that will do me good as well.

I use a single mouthguard when grappling, and a double when sparring. I wouldn't want to grapple with one of the doubles either.
